A three-card spread on how a situation unfolds in time
Explanation revised: 2026-10-18
The three-card spread is the most popular in Tarot. Three cards show a situation in time: the past (causes and background), the present (the current state) and the future (the likely outcome). It is a universal spread for any question, from relationships to work. Upright and reversed positions are taken into account. The service is free and runs in your browser.
Focus on your question and type it if you wish. Press “Lay out the cards” — three cards will appear. Read each one by position and orientation, then weave them into one story: cause → present → outcome.
Tarot Past-Present-Future is useful when you want a quick online result, a symbolic hint or a starting point for reflection. It is suitable for personal use, comparison of options and a calm pause before a decision.
The result is informational and symbolic. It does not replace professional advice and should not be used as the only basis for medical, legal, financial or other high-stakes decisions.
No. Read the individual card’s reversed meaning together with the question and spread position. Reversal can indicate a blocked, excessive or inward expression; it is not a measured probability or a verdict.
