How to check a life path number calculation
The method of adding every digit in a birth date requires ordinary arithmetic. The meaning assigned to the number is a numerological convention; a correct sum does not validate that meaning.
Worked example
For 14 February 1992: 1 + 4 + 0 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 2 = 28; 2 + 8 = 10; 1 + 0 = 1. This method does not require a birth time. If another calculator differs, check the date, the master-number rule and whether date components are reduced separately.
Why might two correctly implemented calculators disagree?
Traditions differ in how they retain 11, 22 and other numbers or reduce the day, month and year separately. Compare rules, not just totals. Neither result establishes a person’s purpose in life.
