The online pendulum selects one of three random answers: Yes, No or Unknown. Use it as a prompt to reflect on a minor everyday choice, such as taking a walk. It does not reveal the future or recommend an action.
How the digital selection works
The browser draws a 32-bit number using crypto.getRandomValues. Values from 4294967200 to 4294967295 are rejected; the remaining number is reduced modulo 100. Remainders 0โ44 give Yes, 45โ89 give No, and 90โ99 give Unknown. The software weights are therefore 45%, 45% and 10%. They are not the probability that your event will happen. Animation and stop controls
The answer is selected at the start, before animation. Your question text, the image movement and the moment you stop it do not alter the selection. Enter starts the pendulum; Stop and show answer or Escape reveals the answer early. Without stopping, it appears after 3.2 seconds. Without animation reveals it immediately, and the system preference for reduced motion is respected. This digital tool does not measure the movement of a real suspended pendulum.
Why a repeated answer can differ
Start a new draw makes a fresh selection with the same weights. It can repeat the previous answer or return a different one. This does not establish that circumstances have changed. Reloading the same tab restores the last completed answer if session storage is allowed.
History and two questions for yourself
The existing history on the service page stores up to 10 answers and their times in browser local storage. Question text and optional notes are not added. The clear button removes the history and the saved answer. When storage is blocked, you can still obtain a new answer without saving.
After the result, ask yourself: Which answer was I hoping for? What facts and my own reasons will I consider? The service has two optional fields for these notes. The widget does not save or send them; reloading clears the fields.
Limits
A random answer does not verify facts, establish a diagnosis or replace professional advice. Do not use it for medical, financial or legal decisions. For two equally acceptable everyday alternatives, assign one to heads and one to tails before using the coin.
